How should I setup my checkout settings in Shopify
In some cases shipping carriers require certain information about the one receiving the package like email and phone number. Some of the checkout settings allows customers to order without giving out phone number or email. This becomes a problem when you try to create a shipping label for the order. To avoid these problems here are some settings you might want to change in your Shopify store.
Shopify admin —> Settings —> Checkout. When creating a new Shopify store in checkout settings customer contact method is automatically set to "Phone number or email". You should change this to "Email" to avoid customers ordering with only phone number since some carrier require customers email address in order to ship the order.
Shipping address phone number should be "Required" since most shipping carriers requires this information to ship orders to customers.
Check that you are not automatically fulfilling any orders when order has been paid. You probably want to add tracking information to your shipped orders. In order to do that you don't want Shopify to automatically fulfill orders. When order are fulfilled through Packrooster it will automatically add tracking information in the email sent to customer.
