EORI code

EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification) number is a unique identifier used within the EU customs system. It is required for businesses involved in importing or exporting goods to or from countries outside the European Union.

If you're a Shopify merchant shipping internationally from the EU, you will likely need an EORI number to complete customs declarations. In Finland, the EORI number is issued by Customs and is typically based on the company’s business ID also known as VAT-number (e.g., FI1234567-8).

Make sure to add your EORI number in Packrooster settings if required – this ensures smooth electronic customs processing for international shipments. Open Packrooster Shipping —> General settings —> Shipping locations and type the number here.
