Bulk shipment waybills
Some shipping services, such as Bring/Posten Pickup Parcel Bulk or DHL eCommerce Light Parcel use a two-step shipment creation process. In addition of generating a single shipping label for each shipment, the carrier requires an individual shipments to be created first and bulk shipment waybill to be generated afterwards.
The bulk shipment waybill combines all previously created shipments into a single transport document.
How it works
When processing orders in Packrooster, the workflow is as follows:
Step 1: Create Individual Shipments
Create shipping labels for each order as usual. At this stage, each shipment is registered with the carrier and each shipment receives its own tracking information
Step 2: Create the Bulk Shipment Waybill
After all individual shipments have been created, generate the Bulk Shipment Waybill in Packrooster. The generated waybill produces a single transport document label and includes all eligible shipments created previously.
When Should You Create the Waybill?
The bulk shipment waybill should typically be created after all shipments for the carrier have been generated and before the shipments are handed over to the carrier. Creating the waybill too early may result in recently created shipments not being included.
Bulk shipment waybills are used by certain carrier services, for example:
Bring/Posten – Pickup Parcel Bulk
DHL eCommerce - Parcel Connect Light Plus
The bulk shipment waybill is not a replacement for individual shipment labels.
Each shipment must still be created separately before the waybill can be generated.
Only shipments that have been successfully created are included in the waybill.
The exact carrier requirements may vary depending on the shipping service being used.
