Connecting shipping methods from Shopify to Packrooster Shipping

You can connect the shipping rates created in Shopify, so that when you are processing orders with Packrooster Shipping the order automatically uses the connected shipping rate.

At first, choose which shipping method from Shopify you want to connect to Packrooster Shipping. In this example, "Home delivery" is being used

Then proceed to Packrooster Shipping and select Settings → Connect shipping methods

Fill the required fields:

”Shipping method name” : The shipping rate name from Shopify

”Shipping carrier” : The shipping carrier of the shipping rate you want to connect

"Shipping Method" : The delivery method of the carrier

—> Select ”+ Create”

The shipping rate is now connected

When the customer selects "Home delivery" as their delivery method at the checkout...

... the correct delivery method of the carrier is used while processing the order

Before you fulfill the order you can of course change the shipping method if that is necessary.

Pro tip: You can use the asterisk sign (*) to truncate the shipping methods name from wanted spot. This can be utilized in situations where the shipping method is given extra identifiers in your Shopify store and you want to connect them to the same shipping method in Packrooster. For example:

Name of shipping method 1: Shipping|Shipping1|extraInfo|EN:543235

Name of shipping method 2: Shipping|Shipping2|anotherExtraInfo|US:354042

To the ”Connect shipping methods” section in Packrooster Shipping you can write ” Shipping|*”. With this configuration the app connects the selected shipping rate of the carrier to all orders of which's shipping rate name starts with the text ” Shipping|”
